Same Trauma, Different Day?
Are you an intelligent, driven, passionate person who is living a double life? You appear unflappable and levelheaded, but inside, you feel anxious, exhausted, and unsatisfied.
These feelings are confusing because you have many of the things you wanted. You’ve had success in your personal life, your career, or as a parent, but everything feels SO HARD. You might also be wondering if there’s something wrong with you.
Or maybe it makes total sense that you’d feel this way. Some events from your past are emerging. You suspect trauma and emotional wounds are at the root. But you don’t know how to deal with it.
You want to feel better now.
Set Yourself Free
You’re rational and learn new things easily. But when it comes to yourself, change is a hard pill to swallow.
With therapy, we will “clear away” the internal barriers that are interfering with your ability to live a happy and fulfilled life. Problems will feel smaller, fears will fade away, and you’ll release the daily burden of overwhelming thoughts and feelings.
Imagine feeling calmer, more hopeful, and passionate about life again! It can happen!
How it’s Done
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful therapy that rebuilds healthy wiring in the brain. It rests on the assumption that your brain is “stuck in trauma time.” EMDR is like telling your brain that it’s okay now, that you’re safe.
You’ll learn how to regulate emotions and release trauma from the body. As a result, positive internal belief systems are strengthened, opening you up to a wide variety of new positive experiences in life.
Hello, I’m Anita Meyer
I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW) and an EMDRIA Approved Consultant with 35 years of experience.
Through accelerated EMDR Intensives, I help thoughtful, driven adults heal trauma, anxiety, and painful memories in a few months — not years of weekly sessions. Therapy should be a pit stop, not a final destination.
If you’ve benefited from traditional talk therapy but not making the tangible progress you desire, you’re in the right place.
